Turning Interest Into Action at the PGA Show
CONTEXT
The PGA Show is where golf brands meet operators, dealers, and decision-makers face-to-face. For Yamaha Golf Car, the opportunity wasn’t just to showcase products; it was to move conversations forward and generate real opportunities on the spot. To support that goal, we introduced a new tool designed to bridge the gap between interest and action.
EXECUTION
We developed and launched Yamaha’s “Build Your Own Car” platform, an interactive experience that allowed users to customize a vehicle in real time on the show floor. The platform moved conversations beyond static discussions and into real-time, hands-on engagement.
To bring it to life, the effort required coordination across multiple areas:
Designed the user experience to be intuitive and fast in a live environment
Coordinated development and programming of the platform
Produced supporting photography and visual assets
Integrated the platform into the booth environment for visibility and accessibility
Launch was only the starting point.
On-site, I worked directly with the Yamaha team to ensure the platform was used effectively:
Trained sales reps on how to guide prospects through the experience
Presented the platform to leadership and internal stakeholders
Walked media and press through the tool and its capabilities
Supported real-time usage and troubleshooting during the show
The goal was to make sure the tool wasn’t just available, but actively used to support conversations throughout the event.
OUTCOME
The platform shifted conversations from general interest to specific configurations and real-world use cases. Sales reps were able to guide prospects through customized builds, leading to more productive discussions and several fleet quote opportunities during the show itself. Instead of relying on brochures or static displays, Yamaha had a working tool that supported decision-making in the moment.
THE RELATIONSHIP
This approach reflected a broader role beyond execution. Yamaha had a partner who could help identify opportunities, build the right tools, and support the team through launch and real-world use, ensuring everything worked the way it needed to when it mattered most.

Common Questions
Is exhibiting at a trade show enough to generate results?
1
Simply showing up rarely guarantees success. The strongest exhibitors begin planning months in advance by defining goals, preparing sales materials, training staff, and creating a customer experience that continues before, during, and after the event.
What makes a trade show booth memorable?
2
Great booths do more than display products. They tell a clear story, encourage meaningful conversations, and create an experience that visitors remember long after they leave the show floor. Every design decision should support that objective.
How can exhibitors generate more qualified leads?
3
Successful exhibitors combine strategic messaging, engaging booth experiences, digital marketing, appointment scheduling, and consistent follow-up. Lead generation isn't a single tactic—it's a coordinated process that begins before attendees ever walk into the exhibit hall.
What types of trade show marketing does Slepp House provide?
4
We support every stage of the exhibitor journey, including strategy, booth planning, product launches, creative direction, photography, video production, CGI, sales collateral, email campaigns, social media, landing pages, and post-show follow-up materials.
Why do some companies see a better return on trade shows than others?
5
The biggest difference usually isn't booth size or budget. It's preparation. Companies that align their marketing, sales team, product messaging, and customer experience before the event consistently generate stronger engagement and better long-term results.
